Rounding and Estimation is a fun math game called Math Rescue that aims to help children practice their rounding and estimation skills. In this game, players join Toby the fireman as he runs through the forest, putting out fires with water balloons to save the forest and its bridges from burning down. However, players must be fast and use the right amount of water to extinguish the fires - using too much will result in running out of water, while using too little won't put out the fire.

Math Rescue offers an engaging gameplay experience with impressive sound and art that will keep children entertained for extended periods. Through this game, kids can learn and practice various skills including rounding to the nearest 10s and 100s of two and three-digit numbers, estimating the sums of two-digit and three-digit numbers, and understanding place value in numbers.

Estimation is an essential skill that has real-life applications in daily life. From managing a budget to making informed decisions about project costs or financial options, estimation can significantly improve decision-making processes. Math Rescue is a great tool to help children develop a solid foundation in estimation skills.

This math learning game is aligned with the common core math standards and Singapore math, making it suitable for third, fourth, and fifth-grade kids. Additionally, Math Rescue teaches concepts related to mental math addition by rounding numbers, which can enhance a child's ability to solve addition and subtraction problems quickly.

The skills covered in Math Rescue include rounding to the nearest 10 and 100, both rounding up and down, rounding two-digit and three-digit numbers to the nearest 10, rounding numbers with 5 in the units place, as well as estimating sums using rounding. Players will estimate the sums of various combinations of one-digit, two-digit, and three-digit numbers.

The skills covered in Math Rescue align with common core curriculum standards, including 3.NBT.A.1 and 4.NBT.A.3, which focus on place value understanding and rounding numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.

Math Rescue can be purchased as a standalone game or as part of a makkajai Genius subscription. The subscription is auto-renewable on an annual basis and costs $59.99 per year. Payment will be charged to the iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless the auto-renewal feature is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Users can manage their subscriptions and turn off the auto-renewal option in their Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the billing cycle, and any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon subscription purchase.
